A harmonious symphony of circles and arcs, Prestige HMS Ten’s dial is partly open to reveal the balance wheel and seconds gear, animating an already rewarding visual experience of texture and composition. The graceful case is distinguished by pure lines around its full perimeter.
Indeed, it is the absence of a normal crown that reveals just how remarkable the movement is. By placing the crown flat on the caseback, Romain Gauthier has increased winding efficiency because energy need not be transmitted through 90°. The large diameter of the crown also enables the watch to be easily wound, even while on the wrist. Pictured here is Prestige HMS Ten in 18k red gold, a 10-piece limited edition created to celebrate Manufacture Romain Gauthier’s 10th anniversary. It is part of Romain Gauthier’s Heritage collection.
