Récital 20 Astérium
Bovet 1822 2017
Récital 20 Astérium square
A year after the Récital 18 Shooting Star, Bovet
returns to its exploration of the universe and the origins of time, now with
its gaze directed towards the stars above; hence why Bovet's watchmakers worked
alongside experts at Geneva Observatory in the conception of this timepiece.
The star chart that takes pride of place on a transparent sapphire dome at 12
o'Clock perfectly correlates with latitude, date and time so as to be as
accurate as possible. Wherever in the northern hemisphere he may be, the owner
of the Récital 20 Astérium can locate the position of the constellations with
absolute precision. And there is more. In addition to the 24-hour indication
around the edge of the star chart, retrograde minutes are given at 3 o'clock. A
hemispherical moon phase and an equation of time are shown at 9 o'clock. A double-sided
flying tourbillon completes the picture. On the reverse of the white gold case,
whose special construction enables the eye to follow the intricacies of the
movement, a central hand makes one complete revolution in 365.25 days, sweeping
the 12 signs of the zodiac in one year.
