The Santos de Cartier is a legend among watches. Designed by Louis Cartier in 1904 for his friend, the pioneering aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, it is the first ever purpose-made wristwatch. The iconic square shape and eight screws on the bezel return on this updated version in gold and steel, which benefits from the patented QuickSwitch system for switching between a metal bracelet and a calfskin or alligator strap. Press a button under the strap to release it, quickly, simply and without special tools. This useful technology is joined by the (also patented) SmartLink system: several links in the metal bracelet have an unobtrusive button on their side which, when pressed, unlatches the attachment bar. Just add or remove links for the perfect fit.
