When Ressence banished traditional hands, substituting
several revolving auxiliary dials instead, it created a new and intuitive way
to tell the time. This signature concept is as relevant as ever in the new
Type1², with some subtle evolutions. This is the first example of the
cushion-shaped case in steel. Also, rather than setting via the rotating case
back, as in the brand's collections to date, the Type1² incorporates a tiny,
fold-out lever, a throwback to the key on an old-fashioned, wind-up toy. This
ingenious solution distinguishes the Type1² from its predecessors, as does its
slimmer, smaller profile. Interchangeable straps enable the wearer to
accessorise the case to suit a masculine wardrobe or, just as easily, adapt it
to a slimmer wrist.
