Zeitwerk Decimal Strike
A. Lange & Söhne 2017
Zeitwerk Decimal Strike square
Introduced in 2009, the A. Lange & Söhne ZEITWERK
immediately made its mark with a mechanical jumping numerals display. The
Zeitwerk family now welcomes a new addition, the third with an acoustic
indication. This new model sounds the time on two pitches, one for the full
hour and one for ten-minute intervals. The two polished steel hammers, visible
on the dial side, are decorated with tremblage engraving. The left hammer
strikes a low note to indicate each full hour while the right hammer sounds a
high note every ten minutes. This striking function can be silenced by means of
the pusher at 4 o'Clock. Proposed as a 100-piece limited edition, the case is
crafted from A. Lange & Söhne's proprietary honey gold.
