The Swiss watch Manufacture has been setting standards in technological development and precision watchmaking since 1868, such as chronographs distinguished by refinement of detail and simplicity of use. At the vanguard of horological design and technology, its achievements have brought the company success and prestige. Its motto, Probus Scafusia, conveys the desire for excellence that drives a company whose international outlook is written into its name: IWC stands for International Watch Co.
History
Manufacture IWC, established in 1868 in Schaffhausen by Florentine Ariosto Jones, a young American, has countless exploits to its name in the field of grandes complications, and is also a pioneer in pilot's watches. After a long history as an independent firm, IWC joined the Richemont Group in 2000. These "engineers of watchmaking" were the first to work with titanium, while ceramic inspired watches destined for adventurers of every ilk.
