Haute École du Paysage, d’Ingénierie et d’Architecture in Geneva proposes a full-time course for a microtechnology engineer with specialisms in materials and watchmaking, electronic equipment design and applied physics. Different modules develop a range of competencies of increasing complexity:

In the first and second semesters, students acquire the basic knowledge required of a microtechnology engineer. These modules are common with the mechanical engineering course.

The third and fourth semesters focus on basic functional proficiency.

The fifth and part of the sixth semester further develop functional proficiency and introduce a specialist option in an area of microtechnology.

At the end of the sixth semester, students write a Bachelor's thesis.

This three-year course leads to a Bachelor of Science in Microtechnology.
