All persons aged 20 or over at the start of the course; students must be employed as a polisher to enrol in the second year.
Adults already in employment can qualify as a polisher through a modular training programme. Course contents are equivalent to initial vocational training for the federal VET certificate (AFP). The AFP diploma is awarded after passing the three base modules, the five level-one modules, and the vocational skills modules.
