ECAL recently introduced a Masters of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship. Over two semesters, young designers familiarise themselves with the specific creation and production requirements of a luxury product, and learn about the skills that set these objects apart.

The course is for persons with a Bachelor's or Master's degree who wish to develop their skills in industrial design. It covers areas as varied as fine watchmaking, tableware and the specific expertise required to work with rare and prestigious materials.

Through collaborations with esteemed and established firms, and workshops led by leading names on the international design scene, students learn about the creation of a luxury object from the initial drawing to production, and every stage in between such as 3D renderings or photography.
