A watch that tells time is great. A watch that tells accurate time is even better. A mechanical watch that does both without fail for decades is a small marvel. Welcome to the ‘Watch Makers’ exhibition, where you will discover these marvels, experience the techniques, and admire the craftsmanship.
During the exhibition period, brands will offer visitors the possibility to experience dedicated animations and workshops. Please see the planning below.

Brand animation: CartierThe watch movements decoration is a meticulous operation that contributes to the aesthetic enhancement of a watch. The various decorations and techniques allow for the elimination of unsightly marks and contribute to the proper functioning of the movement. A well-decorated movement is subject to quality requirements linked to a very strict specification. Each decorated element must be perfectly regular and without any defects. Brand animation: Van Cleef & ArpelsGOLD ENGRAVING AND SCULPTING. Sculpting and engraving allow for enhancing the decoration of a dial or case back with effects of depth and relief. The sculptor's art consists of making a figure emerge from a block of material - gold, mother-of-pearl, or ornamental stones - and bringing it to life. The engraver's expertise is measured as much by their technique as by their ability to give volume, depth, and life to their work.

Brand animation: Van Cleef & ArpelsENAMEL. As a true art of fire, enameling is born from the meeting between enamels, made of silica powder and pigments, and the flame of firing. Thus, the enameled motifs come to life through a succession of steps, giving the piece intense colors and a vivid brilliance. The Maison perfects traditional methods such as plique-à-jour enamel or grisaille enamel, and innovates with new patented techniques, such as the setting in enamel that required 24 months of development.
