The collection roots back to the S/el line launched in 1987. However in 1999, the line changed its name to "LINK" in order to emphasize on its original and identifiable bracelet. It was the brand’s best-selling model for over 10 years but, at the end of the 2000’s, it slowly started to lose some of its fame in for the benefit of other sports-oriented models. However, in 2016, Tag Heuer started a full transformation of the Link and proposed a specific model for woman followed by a men’s version in 2017.

In terms of design the Tag Heuer Link was and still is instantly recognizable thanks to its integrated steel bracelet formed by a double S shaped links that gives it a certain stance and a jewelry bracelet feel clashing with the sporty looking case and dial. Appreciated and worn by celebrities and athletes throughout its history the Tag Heuer Link still has a strong and interesting positioning.

At the frontier between dressy and sporty, the Tag Heuer Link original design definitely has some cards to play in the seem to be never-ending trend of steel integrated bracelet sports watch.
FUN FACT: At the 2021 Olympic Games, Sydney McLaughlin’s wore a Tag Heuer link while running and winning for the fastest woman 400 meters title.
