Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep
In 2019 three Omega Ultra Deep watches joined Victor Vescovo on his mission to descend 10,935 metres to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest point on Earth. Strapped to the explorer’s submersible, they surfaced unscathed. This indestructible concept watch went on to become the Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep which enters Omega’s regular collections as seven versions in titanium or in O-Megasteel. This high-performance stainless steel alloy, used for the cases and integrated bracelets, stands out for its remarkable sheen. Mounted on each case is a ceramic bezel with diving scale, and a bevelled and domed sapphire crystal which is designed to withstand pressure at a depth of 6,000 metres. Dials are white or with a gradient effect that transitions grey to black or blue to black. Equipped with the Co-Axial Calibre 8912, all watches in the collection are Master Chronometer certified.
