Code 11.59 Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar 41mm
Audemars Piguet kicked off its 150th anniversary celebrations with the introduction of Calibre 7138, a next-generation self-winding perpetual calendar movement which enhances user comfort by making the corrections of all functions possible by an “all-in-one” crown. Protected by five patents, this slim — just 4.1mm high — movement was five years in development. Legibility is key to the perpetual calendar, which displays the week number by a central hand, and the day, date and month on subdials, with a leap-year display incorporated into the subdial for the month. There is also an astronomical moon-phase display. This new movement debuted simultaneously in this Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet in a 41mm white gold case, and in two 41mm Royal Oak in steel or sand gold. For collectors, all three are presented in anniversary editions, each limited to 150 pieces, that include subtle design features for the 150th anniversary.
