Constant Force Tourbillon 11
Limited to 11 pieces, this 41.5mm watch is driven by an in-house manual-winding calibre whose two barrels provide 100 hours of power reserve. A constant-force mechanism with deadbeat seconds is given prominence on the white Grand Feu enamel dial, while the tourbillon regulator can be admired through the back of the case in yellow gold. The movement borrows its architecture from the very first tourbillon pocket watch that Abraham-Louis Breguet made in 1808, based on a chronometer movement by John Arnold. Now housed at the British Museum in London, this first ever tourbillon regulator was presented by Breguet to John Arnold’s son as a token of his friendship for and collaboration with the young man’s father. The Constant Force Tourbillon 11 marks the end of the 260th anniversary celebration of the legacy of John Arnold, a foremost English watchmaker of the eighteenth century.
