Dahlia Fire Opal
Dahlia, the inaugural collection from Beauregard, whose head office is in Montreal, was immediately distinguished on its release in 2018 as one of the watches shortlisted for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. This delightful High Jewellery watch incorporates a Swiss-Made movement with a central flying tourbillon as a mechanical pistil. Among the new interpretations of this floral creation for 2023 is a 38.8mm model cased in white gold and set with 330 diamonds. The hand-executed dial is embellished with 140 diamonds and 48 petals sculpted from fire opal. The rough stones are sourced in Magdalena, a village in Mexico whose five mines produce most of the world supply of this fascinating gem, hand-carved at Beauregard’s Montreal workshop then assembled in Switzerland.
