DBD Season 2

A limited edition of 13 pieces, this watch marks the second collaboration between De Bethune and music producer-rap artist Swizz Beatz. Both the display and the complications shout out to the first DBD, a limited edition that dropped in 2006 with 39 pieces. For this Season 2, Swizz Beatz has imagined a case in dark grey polished zirconium, with the crown at 12 o’clock. Day, date and month are shown on a single line through an aperture in the top half of the dial. Below this is a semi-circular aperture for scrolling minutes and, below that, a square window for jumping hours. In addition to its impressive movement, the major innovation of this DBD watch is the Côtes de Genève engraving on the dial. The movement in question is the manual-winding DB2044 operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour. It comes equipped with De Bethune’s blued titanium balance with white gold inserts and the brand’s triple shock absorber.
