Excalibur SC-V12

Tying in with the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 hypercar, Roger Dubuis reveals the Excalibur Essenza SCV12, a watch whose own engine is a match for the most powerful V12 ever. Entirely customisable, this evolution of the emblematic Excalibur Aventador S profoundly reworks the Duotor movement to make it even lighter for enhanced performance. Removing the upper bridge leaves the barrel open to view – as though looking through a supercar’s transparent hood. Purpose-made by Roger Dubuis for Lamborghini, the manual-winding RD103SQ Duotor calibre is protected by five patents and distinguished by the Poinçon de Genève quality seal. It operates at a very high frequency of 57,600 vph thanks to the Duotor twin balance system, with each balance inclined at 45 degrees in a V12 configuration. Power reserve is 40 hours. Strut bars on the top of the movement remain a signature feature of Lamborghini-inspired Excalibur watches.
