The Fiftysix® collection by Vacheron Constantin is a neo-contemporary interpretation of Reference 6073, one of the brand's first automatic watches in a watertight case, launched in 1956. This new rendition reprises many of the historic watch's attributes, starting with references to the Maltese Cross and extending to the box-type crystal, the sector dials and the automatic movement. The collection spans three models: a self-winding, a complete calendar with precision moon phase, and a day-date with power-reserve indicator that is fitted with the in-house Calibre 2475 SC/2 inside a 40mm case in a choice of steel or 18k 5N pink gold. Visible through the sapphire back is the openworked oscillating weight. Made from 22k gold, it is mounted on ceramic ball bearings.
