Hommage La Placide
In 1996 Roger Dubuis the watchmaker launched the Hommage collection as a tribute to the teachers, friends and all those who had helped shape his career. Now, Roger Dubuis the brand has created a watch in honour of its namesake. This 28-piece limited edition combines a biretrograde perpetual calendar with moon phases, Roger Dubuis’ personal favourite complication. Each piece is equipped with a Calibre RD14 movement, the brand’s first in-house automatic movement which it debuted in 2004. Characterised by the swan-neck regulator, each of these historic movements has been fully restored then combined with the RD72 perpetual calendar module, introduced in 1999, to form Calibre Hommage 1472. This 307-part movement is decorated using 15 different finishing techniques. Presented in a 38mm rose gold case and hallmarked with the Poinçon de Genève, the Hommage La Placide is worn on an interchangeable leather strap.
