Marine Regatta

The new Regatta chronograph from Ulysse Nardin delivers an innovative function, developed with input from the sailors competing with Artemis Racing for the America's Cup. The regatta function at the centre of the dial displays the countdown with an arrow pointing to a yellow minute scale from 0 to 10. This hand is set with a pusher at 10 o’clock and moves in a counterclockwise direction when the countdown starts. At the same time, the two-way chronograph seconds hand ticks away the seconds, also in a counterclockwise direction. When the countdown reaches 0, signalling the start of the race, the seconds hand instantly and automatically starts moving in the clockwise direction to begin timing the race, measured by an hours and minutes subdial at 6 o’clock.
