Spirit of Big Bang Meca-10 King Gold

Hublot has re-engineered its in-house Meca-10 movement to fit the tonneau shape of the Spirit of Big Bang 45mm. This new version, proposed in titanium, black ceramic or King Gold on a rubber strap, is powered by the new HUB1233 calibre. Based on the same principles as the manual-wind Meca-10 skeleton movement, it retains the twin parallel barrels and an unusual indication of the ten-day power reserve. Two racks slide along a rack and pinion system, while the number of days left on the power reserve is shown in an opening at 3 o'clock. In another technical twist, the plate is replaced by bridges that are fixed on each side of a ring that serves as a base for the movement: an architecture that will remind some of the perforated girders of a model construction set.
