Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic
Ceramic makes its entrance in H. Moser & Cie.’s Streamliner collection. The Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic’s 40mm cushion case (water-resistant to 120 metres) and integrated bracelet are cast in dark grey ceramic, with alternating polished and satin-finish surfaces. Moser contrasts this with a fumé dial in Grand Feu enamel. Applied over an engraved hammered pattern on a white gold base, the enamel is fired multiple times to achieve a rich red gradient. Hands with Globolight® inserts point to hours and minutes, with no indices, logos or inscriptions to distract from the main attraction: a one-minute flying tourbillon framed by an aperture at 6 o’clock. Two matching balance springs improve accuracy and isochronism by compensating for shifts in the centre of gravity as the springs expand. This regulating organ is part of the in-house HMC 805 automatic calibre, which stands 5.5mm high, runs at 3 Hz and stores three days of power reserve. Finishing, visible through the sapphire caseback, extends to a contemporary anthracite treatment on the plate and partially skeletonised bridges, with Moser’s signature double stripes.
