After the Minute Repeater, the Skeleton Tourbillon Poinçon de Genève and the Spin Time, Louis Vuitton continues to explore complications with this Tambour Moon Mystérieuse Flying Tourbillon. The mystery movement is arranged in a vertical line and incorporates a flying tourbillon. The first mystery movements were made in the nineteenth century using crystal discs to create the illusion of suspended hands. Here, sapphire crystals replace the discs and not only the hands but the entire movement appears to be floating, from the coaxial double barrel, concealed beneath a Monogram flower at 12 o'clock, to the central gear train and the tourbillon cage at 6 o'clock. Nothing connects the crown to the double barrel and this, together with the choice of a flying tourbillon, adds to the impression of lightness and floating. The back of the tourbillon cage can be personalised with the customer's initials.
