Villeret Extra-plate

With elegance and simplicity, since the early 1980s the classical identity of Blancpain's Villeret collection has proven that a watch needn't "shout" to be noticed. Adding to the range is a model that gives hours and minutes our full attention. None of the collection's distinguishing features have been forgotten, with a delicately rounded double-stepped bezel, an opaline dial swept by cut-out hands in the form of sage leaves, gold Roman numerals and the slim profile of the red gold case. For this new iteration, Blancpain has chosen to further accentuate the pared-down Villeret aesthetic thanks to an even thinner case – 7.40mm high – containing an extra-thin movement. Based on the renowned Calibre 1150, the manual-winding 11A4B movement indicates hours and minutes. So as to preserve the clean beauty of the dial, the indicator for the 100-hour power reserve is visible on the movement side, through the sapphire back, framed by the traditional Côtes de Genève finishing and bevelled edges on the bridges.
