The Corum Admiral's Cup traces its origins back to 1960 when the brand's visionary founder, RenĂ© Bannwart, sought to create a watch that could embody the spirit of sailing and maritime adventures.

Bannwart was driven by a passion for creating timepieces that not only showcased technical excellence but also celebrated unique designs.

The inspiration for the Admiral's Cup collection came from the world of sailing, particularly the prestigious Admiral's Cup yacht race. This race, known for its challenging course and international competition, served as the perfect backdrop for Corum's new creation. The distinctive dodecagonal (twelve-sided) case of the watch was inspired by a ship's wheel, an iconic symbol of maritime exploration.

When the first Corum Admiral's Cup watch was introduced, it quickly gained attention for its unconventional design and nautical theme. The initial model featured colorful nautical pennant hour markers on the dial, paying homage to the maritime flags used in yacht races.

This design choice not only added a touch of elegance but also set the stage for a collection that would become synonymous with innovation and creativity.

As the years passed, the Admiral's Cup collection evolved while staying true to its maritime roots. The watches continued to feature the iconic dodecagonal case and nautical pennant markers, but with variations in materials, colors, and complications.

Over time, Corum introduced different lines within the Admiral's Cup collection, catering to a wide range of tastes.

The Admiral's Cup collection became a canvas for Corum's craftsmanship and creativity. It showcased a blend of artistic design, technical precision, and a unique interpretation of nautical motifs.

The watches were embraced by enthusiasts who appreciated both the aesthetic appeal and the storytelling aspect of the collection.
