1815 Annual Calendar

Themes: Technical, Classic
Specificities: Calendar

The second timepiece from A. Lange & Söhne to propose annual calendar functions, the 1815 Annual Calendar borrows the classic design and style principles of the 1815 family. This new model proposes a manual-wind movement with an analogue date, thus distinguishing it from the Saxonia Annual Calendar from 2010, which has an automatic movement and outsize date. The hand-winding is also a subtle tribute to Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who in 1866 obtained a United States patent for a crown-winding mechanism to replace the then traditional system of winding with a key. This annual calendar watch also presents a precision moon phase, accurate for 122.6 years, which has been incorporated into the small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The case is proposed in either white gold or pink gold.
