1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date
When it came to imagining this new dive watch, Montblanc climbed to the glacial lakes of the Mont-Blanc Massif for inspiration. Its “frozen” dial recreates the illusion of looking into the depth of a glacier thanks to an almost-forgotten, hand-executed technique known as gratté boisé. Available with black, blue or green dials, this diving instrument is certified conform to ISO 6425. Each one has also undergone the Montblanc Laboratory 500 Hour Test to ensure that it is resistant to shocks, magnetic fields and extreme temperatures, as well as being water-resistant to 300 metres. All three iterations come in a 41mm steel case with a bidirectional ceramic rotating bezel and a relief engraving of an iceberg and a scuba diver on the back. Also, the steel bracelet can be swapped out for a rubber strap.
