Classically executed, the Voutilainen 28ti nonetheless represents a new approach from the master watchmaker who, by removing the dial, invites us to explore every recess of the magnificently finished mechanism. Manufactured at the Voutilainen workshops, the movement incorporates a balance with a balance spring that uses a Phillips overcoil for the exterior and a Grossmann curve for the interior, allowing precise regulation. The configuration of the two escape wheels is unique, providing direct impulse to the balance for enhanced energy efficiency. Plate and bridges are entirely hand-finished to the highest possible standard. Small seconds and the power-reserve indicator are shown on the back of the movement.
