Introduced in 1978, a round case with asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs are the calling card of the Arceau watch. This Petite Lune interpretation comes with a sprinkling (“jeté”) of 87 sapphires and 68 diamonds, as though scattered by a breeze across the bezel of the 38mm steel case and the dial. They alight around a whimsical Moon - whose inspiration comes from a Hermès silk scarf titled “Acte III, Scène I, la Clairière…” - set against a star-spangled night sky. Some of the stones form precious pinpoints around the date subdial with its sloping numerals at 6 o’clock on the white mother-of-pearl dial, swept by slender Dauphine hands. The movement is Hermès’ proprietary H1837 with automatic winding and a Petite Lune module.
