Art Piece 2 - Edition 2

The Art Piece series by Greubel Forsey is a reflection on scientific research and its applications in haute horlogerie, and the desire to take watchmaking into new aesthetic territory. This is the first Art Piece that has no optical system, hence without any micro-sculpture or nano-engraving. The focus shifts to the 30° double tourbillon which takes up a dial seemingly devoid of any timekeeping function. The power reserve takes precedence over all other indications so as to change our relationship to time, encouraging us to contemplate not the current time but time remaining. And when time becomes an immediate concern, suffice to press the pusher in the case side to open an aperture at 6 o'clock where hours and minutes can be read on discs.
