Autavia 60th Anniversary Flyback Chronograph

As the Autavia turns 60, TAG Heuer presents three new versions that include two flyback chronographs, both of which run off the COSC-certified, in-house Heuer 02 calibre. They hark back to the 1550 SG, produced for the German Bundeswehr in the late 1960s, specifically to meet the needs of Luftwaffe pilots. These new references are identifiable by the distinctive shape of the chronograph pushers as well as the extra-large crown, both informed by vintage TAG Heuer dashboard timers. There is also a bidirectional rotating bezel. Legibility is assured by the large, luminous Arabic numerals swept by Super-LumiNova-coated hands. There are two colour options: one with a polished steel case surrounding a silver panda dial, and a second that sets a black dial inside a black DLC-treated steel case.
