This 50-piece limited-edition Big Bang Tourbillon Full Carbon is a fusion of traditional high-end watchmaking with an avant-garde mindset. Representing tradition is a skeletonised and suspended tourbillon, driven by a movement with transparent sapphire bridges and a barrel wound by a micro-rotor for three days of power reserve. Innovation comes from the mix of Texalium and carbon fibre to produce the 43mm case and integrated bracelet, providing the double benefit of strength and ultra-lightness. Thanks to this construction, the entire watch, bracelet included, weighs in at a featherlight 68jgrammes. The upper layer of Texalium, which is a fibreglass weave coated with aluminium, on the carbon case, bezel and bracelet increases impact-resistance and scratch-resistance. One last detail: Hublot has developed a latticework mainplate that echoes the appearance of the Texalium/carbon fibre fusion.
