Calatrava Reference 6006G
The new Calatrava Reference 6006G, with date by hand and subsidiary seconds, showcases Calibre 240 which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2017. The movement's construction is such that subsidiary seconds occupy an unusual position, between 4 and 5 o'clock; an original touch that was warmly received when Patek Philippe unveiled its extra-thin Calatrava Reference 5000 in 1991. Several subtle changes can be noted between the 2005 version and this year's iteration. Case diameter has gone from 37 mm to 39 mm. The white lacquer hour and minute baton hands are pierced and perceptibly broader. As for the date hand, it is tipped with a red lacquered arrowhead for maximum visibility.
