Clé de Cartier Automatic Skeleton

Themes: Technical
Specificities: Skeleton
Introduced in 2015, the Clé de Cartier watch takes its name from its winding crown whose shape and clicking sound are inspired by traditional clocks. Cartier has chosen this ingenious and distinctive design to contain its very first skeleton automatic movement, Calibre 9621 MC. As always at Cartier, form and function are the two partners in a dialogue that underscores the Maison's expertise. Bold Roman numerals, a characteristic feature of a Cartier skeleton movement, create structure around spaces left empty and areas of depth. So as to preserve this all-important transparency, Cartier's watchmakers have skeletonised the oscillating weight in 22k gold to render it perfectly invisible. Technical genius shines with force and elegance at the heart of this 41-mm palladium watch.
