Ultra-Thin
For the tenth anniversary of its DB28, De Bethune presents three models that encapsulate a decade of mechanical innovation and groundbreaking design. They also begin a new chapter for the brand in the realm of ultra-thin, always a sign of elegance in a watch. Part of this anniversary trio, the Starry Sky is housed in a round hunter case, typical of pocket watches, with the crown at 12 o'clock. Crafted from mirror-polished lightweight titanium, its floating lugs have been redesigned. The dial in blued titanium includes an opening for the balance and spring. A first for De Bethune, this blue surface is engraved with a multitude of micro-grooves – a technique known as Microlight. Representing the sky at night, tiny white gold pins are driven one by one into the dial to recreate the magic of the stars. Hours and minutes are shown by pink gold hands sweeping Arabic numerals on the silver-toned hour ring. As for the manual-winding movement, it delivers six days of power reserve from twin barrels.
