Defy Classic

Last year, Zenith unveiled the Defy El Primero 21, a hundredth-of-a-second chronograph, followed by the Defy Lab whose revolutionary oscillator achieves exceptional precision. This year, the Defy is expanding into a full-fledged collection, from simple to highly complicated models, making it a new pillar for the brand. The entry-level offering goes by the name of Defy Classic. It comes in a 41mm brushed titanium case with either a solid or an openworked dial, and a choice of metal bracelet, rubber strap or leather strap. This is a three-hander with date, driven by a revamped version of the in-house Elite 670 movement with a silicon pallet lever and escape wheel. The skeletonised version, a first, is blackened and shows a cut-out date on a white disc at 6 o'clock.
