Duometre Quantième Lunaire
Jaeger-LeCoultre presents its Duometre Quantième Lunaire - with two separate gear trains linked to a single regulating organ - in a new livery. A deep blue dial welcomes the long, slender hands that are a hallmark of all Duometre watches, as is the symmetrical layout of three subdials forming an inverted pyramid. The subdial at 3 o’clock shows the time, with the cardinal hours marked by applied Arabic numerals; the subdial at 9 o’clock is for the pointer-style date and moon phases, set against a blue sky. Beneath them, the foudroyante seconds hand has its subdial at 6 o’clock, framed by power-reserve indicators for each barrel. Different finishes for the dial sections create contrast. Marking the launch of three new Duometre models in 2024, of which the Duometre Quantième Lunaire is one, Jaeger-LeCoultre debuts a new case design that is a contemporary interpretation of its nineteenth-century hunter pocket watches. A comfortable 42.5mm in diameter, it forms a complex structure of 34 parts. Lugs are screwed rather than integrated, to enable multiple finishes with a mixture of polished, brushed and micro-blasted surfaces. This is the first Duometre watch in steel.
