Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 3

Introducing the third act in the trilogy of watches released for the 70th anniversary of Blancpain’s emblematic dive watch, the Fifty Fathoms. Having launched in 1953 with a raft of safety features to ensure divers’ security, an additional feature — the moisture indicator — was introduced in 1957 on the Fifty Fathoms Mil-Spec, which was adopted by the main armed forces of that time. The Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 3 pays tribute to that watch. True to the original design, a matt black dial features a Super-LumiNova®-enhanced moisture indicator and indexes. The diving scale on the unidirectional rotating bezel with black ceramic insert is also highlighted with Super-LumiNova®. Differentiating this new iteration from its predecessor, the 41.3mm case, which is water-resistant to 300 metres, is cut from Bronze Gold: a patented alloy enriched with 37% gold. Also new is the 1154.P2 movement featuring an antimagnetic silicon balance spring plus twin barrels that provide 100 hours of power reserve. This anniversary Fifty Fathoms is produced as a 555-piece limited edition and worn on a two-tone NATO strap.
