Fifty Fathoms Tech Gombessa

Blancpain celebrates the Fifty Fathom’s 70th anniversary by introducing a series of new models to the collection. “Act two” of these new releases goes by the name Tech Gombessa, in reference to the project led by professional diver Laurent Ballesta with the support of Blancpain, which makes use of innovative diving techniques to explore as yet inaccessible areas of the underwater world. The Fifty Fathoms Tech Gombessa, the first in a new line within the collection, introduces an original function developed by Blancpain with Laurent Ballesta to measure immersions of up to three hours. A three-hour scale on the unidirectional rotating bezel is linked to a hand that makes a full rotation in three hours. Water-resistant to 300 metres and with a helium escape valve, this watch was designed with long-duration deep dives in mind.
