Limelight Gala by Razan Alazzouni

At the 17th edition of Art Dubai, Piaget presented two creative collaborations, each centred on the Limelight Gala watch. The first, with designer Shamsa Alabbar, offers a captivating interpretation of Arabic typography. The second is a carte blanche to Razan Alazzouni, an artist who has already designed for Piaget's Possession jewellery collection. Her collaboration takes the form of a marquetry of emeralds and chrysoprase, interwoven with brilliant-cut diamonds, in a composition that mirrors the sinuosity of the Palace Decor rose gold bracelet: a shining example of Piaget's expertise in crafting gold. Each link in the bracelet is finely adjusted to create the impression of a single ribbon of gold. Hours and minutes are driven by Piaget's automatic 501P1 movement, just 3.63mm high.
