Limelight High Jewellery watch
Taking an idea from the guillochage or engine-turning used to decorate watches, Piaget imagined and developed its Palace Decor in the 1960s and applied it for the first time to a gold bracelet. Working with the pointed tip of a graver, the artisan precisely incises the metal with different stylised grooves and lines, giving each one its own depth, width and direction. The result is instantly recognisable and entirely unique. Now Piaget returns to this technique for three high jewellery cuff watches, including one in frosted white gold whose opal dial is framed by brilliant-cut emeralds on the visible portion of the bezel. The other two models are in rose gold, one with an opal dial and diamonds on the bezel and bracelet, the other with a dial in turquoise set with sapphires on the bezel. On all three, the hardstone dial extends beyond the cuff as though to emphasise its beauty.
