LM Split Escapement - MB&F x Eddy Jaquet

The name Eddy Jaquet is revered by independent watchmaking aficionados as that of a man capable of transforming a watch into a rich storytelling tapestry. Which is exactly what the engraver extraordinaire has achieved in this creative collaboration with MB&F. The Legacy Machine Split Escapement with its off-centre hours and minutes subdial was chosen as it offers a wide expanse of surface for engraving. The white gold dial on each of the eight unique pieces becomes the backdrop for a fabulously detailed collage, imagined by Jaquet, of scenes and pivotal moments from eight novels by Jules Verne. Each scene springs to life through hand-shading, created with dark grey rhodium plating, that accentuates chosen details of the composition. Compared with the regular LM Split Escapement, each watch in this series takes an additional 300 hours to complete.
