Like the Luminor Marina Carbotech™, this model in Fibratech™ celebrates the 70th anniversary of the patent for Luminor, a tritium-based, luminous substance developed by Panerai. Fibratech™ is an eco-sustainable material borrowed from the aerospace industry. Fibres produced from the fusion of basalt rock and mineral additives are bound with polymers, stacked in layers, then heated and compressed. The resulting material combines strength with lightness, weighing 60% less than steel. Its irregular, opaque texture accentuates the glow of the "X1" Super-LumiNova™ - a new-generation, brighter, longer-lasting lume – that Panerai applies not just to the dial but also to the flange, the crown guard and strap stitching. Driven by an automatic movement with three days of power reserve, Calibre P.9010, and water-resistant to 300 metres, this Luminor Marina Fibratech™ is available as a limited edition of 270 pieces - only from Panerai boutiques - and comes with an impressive 70-year warranty.
