First seen on the dial of the inaugural Royal Oak from 1972, Audemars Piguet’s “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” pairs with stainless steel to create the two-tone aesthetic of this Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph. This deep blue appears here on the ceramic bezel, pushers and crown, and extends to the Méga Tapisserie dial, which is swept by luminescent hands in white gold. White chronograph markings and a white tachymeter scale on the flange further enhance legibility. Subdials for minutes, small seconds and hours, respectively at 9, 6 and 3 o’clock, adopt a lighter shade of blue. The Calibre 4401 chronograph movement with flyback function shows off its high-grade finishing and its oscillating weight in rhodium-plated 22k gold through a sapphire caseback.
