Une Folle Journée Diamants

A year after introducing its Une Folle Journée collection, Trilobe returns with a dazzling Fine Jewellery interpretation and technical tour de force that would have been impossible to achieve without a complete architectural overhaul. First of all, the collection’s signature rotating rings have been redesigned to accommodate 150 baguette diamonds. New materials were also introduced to maintain the performance and reliability of the X-Centric movement. So that the rings can rotate, even with the weight of the diamonds, they are made not from titanium but from an even lighter aluminium-silicon-magnesium alloy. Trilobe worked with expert gem-setters to develop an exclusive technique whereby each stone is cut to exactly fit the rings, which are custom-made by a constructor in art mechanics, and set through an invisible opening. As a final flourish, the 12 hour numerals are miniature-painted by hand on the diamonds. Une Folle Journée Diamants is proposed in platinum and rose gold versions.
