Pulled from Bulgari’s archives, this unusual watch went against luxury convention when it debuted in 1998. In bold black and white, this chronograph plays on the Italian firm’s design tropes but its aluminium and rubber construction marks a complete departure from the precious materials we associate with the brand. The result is utterly convincing and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of quality. Bulgari has adapted the lug size for unisex wear and replaced the quartz movement of the original with an ETA automatic calibre. The cherry on the cake: an affordable price point that takes the brand into a new segment. The Aluminium is set to become a second pillar in Bulgari’s offering of men’s watches, alongside the Octo Finissimo.
