Autobahn A3

Part of the Director’s Cut trilogy, released by Nomos to mark 175 years of watchmaking in Glashütte, the Autobahn A3 (like the A7 and A9 which complete the line-up) is the work of designer Werner Aisslinger. All three are named after major German motorways. Appropriately for this anniversary edition, Nomos is producing 175 of each. Aisslinger has also come up with his interpretation of a rally-style perforated strap for the steel bracelet which fastens with a folding clasp. Inside the 41mm steel case is the extra-thin DUW 6101 automatic movement. Nomos has taken advantage of the movement’s slim profile to create a double-curved dial, with an inward curve around the edge of the dial and another for the small seconds subdial above the date aperture.
