Balancier Convexe S²

Greubel Forsey continues to chart a path of smaller, meticulously executed sports watches that are designed and built for today’s world. The Balancier Convexe S² is a prime example. Offered as two limited editions of 88 pieces in grey or blue, it reprises the now famous Convexe case with its dual curvature, first seen in 2019, but in a 41.5mm diameter. The size of the case – in titanium on a rubber strap with the option of a titanium bracelet – implied judicious adjustments to the movement architecture compared with the original Balancier Convexe from 2021. Accordingly, its most powerful elements are preserved in a size that suits all wrists. Hour and minute hands sit high above an arched bridge, while the engraved barrel cover and power reserve occupy the top part of the dial. This leaves ample room for the 30-degree inclined balance which is flanked by a small seconds subdial. A partially openworked dial allows a view of the gears in motion.
