Chronomaster 2 El Primero

The Chronomaster is the contemporary face of the El Primero movement. This year sees the 50th anniversary of this horological legend, which Zenith celebrates with a boxed set of three watches: a reissue of the original El Primero representing the past, a Defy El Primero 21 for the future, and this Chronomaster 2 representing the present. It comes equipped with a new-generation, optimised El Primero movement. This high-frequency calibre, which has COSC certification, accurately measures tenths of a second – meaning the chronograph hand makes one rotation in 10 seconds – with direct read-offs from the dial and the black ceramic bezel. Additional features are a stop-seconds mechanism for time-setting and a more comfortable 60 hours of power reserve. Sporting and modern in style, cased in a larger, 42mm diameter, it has its rightful place in the 50-piece limited-edition set.
