Fifty years after the first appearance of the legendary El Primero movement and the first watch powered by this automatic chronograph calibre, Zenith travels back in time with this anniversary El Primero Revival A384: not just a vintage reissue but an accurate reproduction of the A384 from 1969. Zenith achieved this through reverse engineering, digitizing and scanning each component to recreate the 37mm facetted steel case and lacquered white and black dial. The characteristics of the movement are also identical to those of the original, from its high-beat 5Hz frequency to the column-wheel chronograph, 50 hours of power reserve and automatic winding. The only departures are the sapphire crystal that replaces the acrylic glass, and a transparent back to allow a view of the movement.
